‘Your Politics Is Religious and Your Religion Political’
The relationship between the church and the public square has never been more contested. Jamie Smith’s new book Awaiting the King offers a public theology which explores the religious nature of politics and the political nature of Christian worship. We’re delighted to welcome Jamie here at Oak Hill on Friday 30 November to discuss the book and this vital subject which affects us all.
James K. A. Smith is professor of philosophy at Calvin College. An award-winning author and widely-traveled speaker, he has emerged as a thought leader with a unique gift of translation, building bridges between the academy, society, and the church.
The morning event is open to pastors, church leaders and anyone interested in the relationship between church and culture. This event is free of charge, but booking is required - see below to book your free place.
